New corporate web presence for specialist developer Countryside Properties PLC.
In 1997 Countryside Properties commissioned CD9 to design its first web presence and the relationship continues across a wide range of services – from ongoing web and microsite development to online marketing and group-wide hosting.
Requirement
Countryside Properties wanted to bring a number of small business-facing websites, each targeting a specific audience, into a single comprehensive corporate web presence.
Strategy
Focusing on accessibility and usability issues from the outset, the new website is specifically designed to address multiple audiences, meeting the needs of home buyers, investors, career-seekers, joint-venture partners, local planning authorities and land owners.
Solution
The integrated site provides comprehensive information on all aspects of the company, and benefits from a clear and uncluttered structure with easy to use navigation.
Results
In 2004, the Countryside Properties website was ranked 13th in an independent survey assessing the corporate website's of the FTSE500 companies. The survey reviewed each site over a period of three months using 60 objective criteria including content, functionality and technical compliance. Listed amongst companies such as Unilever, BP, BAE Systems, Prudential and Sainsbury's, the ranking is a superb achievement when compared to Countryside Properties' FTSE position.
